Unaccompanied minors

“Unaccompanied minor” - any Italian citizen aged between 6 and 14 years on the effective date of the travel, who travels unaccompanied by an adult, in accordance with the relevant legislation. For other nationalities the age interval for an unaccompanied minor is 6 to 18 years. Minors over 14 years of age can also request assistance by adding the unaccompanied minor service, should they wish to.

The service is available only for direct flights. The fee for this service is available in our Service fees and surcharges

The service is limited to 2 minors/flight .

The unaccompanied minor can check-in only at the airport and the service is free of charge. The minor must be present at the check-in desk 2 hours before departure, accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult must remain in the airport at least 30 minutes after take-of so that, in case of a last minute cancellation, he/she can pick-up the child.

The minor is picked-up by an airline representative at the check-in desk and accompanied to the aircraft. Once in the aircraft the minor is transferred in the flight crew`s care.

In the aircraft the unaccompanied minor cannot occupy a seat near an emergency exit.

Upon arrival the minor is accompanied by an airline representative all the way to the arrival area where the child must be picked up by an adult.

For any enquiries regarding travel documents, you need to contact the authorities of the minor`s country of residence.
